When the Penn & Slavery Project began, the team consisted of 5 undergraduate students and one faculty advisor. Over the subsequent semesters, the membership has more than doubled in size and the breadth of research has expanded dramatically. The undergraduate students are the driving force behind the Penn & Slavery Project. All the findings featured on this website are the result of the undergraduates’ hard work and archival research. The students have made efforts to showcase their work at the conclusion of every semester, in the form of presentations and reports. Learn more about the members by browsing the student bios.
