In an exciting new development, the Penn & Slavery Project has collaborated with students in the design school to build an Augmented Reality Mobile Application. This app will feature student research and allow users to learn about student’s research on public spaces throughout Penn’s campus. To date, the team has designed experiences featuring research about Caesar, a man enslaved by Ebenezer Kinnersley, and the fundraising trips of William Smith, slave owner and Penn’s first Provost, and Dr. John Morgan, slave owner and early dean of Penn’s Medical School. Learn more about the members by browsing the student bios.
